At the Argos Inspiration Days 2018, Applications Development Senior Manager Mathew Faulkner gave a really great presentation about the amazing possibilities with print. Canon has developed an imaginary brand "The Elemental" which is a full design of a shop, products, signage, decor etc. to showcase the possibilities.

Marius Karlsen is a Concept Developer from the Norwegian company iNord. At the recent annual meeting for the members of the Federation of Printers in Norway, Marius Karlsen gave a great and very lively speech about the great tools offered by Google. Is Print Dead? A question asked these days by Pat McGrew from Keypoint Intelligence and Kevin Craine in their new podcast of the same name - however - Marius Karlsen said "You can use the platforms to sell the really sexy things - which is print" and when he handed over his business cards to the interested audience, this was letterpress printed business cards - all underscoring his statement. The Vpaper Tower is a machine that adds a double crease to a paper making it possible to use in Lay-flat bound products, like photo-books, textbooks and well - pretty much every application you can think of. At DRUPA in 2016, our friends from Enfocus in Belgium announced the X-Treme Switchover program and when INKISH.TV was asked to cover some of the programs we were SO excited about this. To recap briefly on the Switchover program the entire program aims to give an honest and openhearted view on the entire process from requirements, implementation, and results when getting a workflow implemented. Königsdruck print fine art and have build a reputation around its amazing quality. Air Motion Systems who is the developer of the AMS LED-UV solution is using Königsdruck for the DRUPA brochures and we are quite certain that the print will give the visitors a great understanding of what is possible with LED-UV.

Paper is one of the most commoditized products in the printing industry - however, if the industry is going to make more money maybe printers should shift focus from commodity paper to special- and branded- paper much more than now. We at INKISH believe that an increased focus on paper can be both profitable and also bring higher value to our customers.
