Honestly, this visit was quite a surprise. Most companies in the world aim for growth and fortunately, there is not one single recipe for success. Buchs is from a medium size town in Denmark, Randers - and is a quite old company. It used to be a traditional printing company but the current partners have turned Buchs into a diverse business focusing on communication from A to Z. They have acquired Internet companies. They have acquired signage companies and what is also quite interesting is their business in Vietnam where 55 employees produce pre-press for magazines. In a time where many printers are struggling to get more customers, one of the solutions is obviously to add a web-to-print service to your selection of sales platforms and in this episode we speak with the Indian company RadixWeb, who for almost a decade have been delivering the OnPrintShop web-to-print solution. This episode is not so much about the solution it self, but more about the company behind at least one of the more than 800 solutions globally. We will soon start to introduce more knowledge about web-to-print in general and also offer our viewers information about where to get balanced information. One of the leading web-to-print people in the world is Bernd Zipper from www.zipcon.de and though his site is in German he speaks and write perfect English.

Nils Petter Nordskar gave a brilliant presentation at the annual meeting in Trondheim, Norway for the federation of Norwegian printers. He spoke clearly about how to get results and most important that the printing industry has a HUGE undiscovered potential.

The paper industry has also been challenged since the financial crisis took off in 2008, but Antalis has developed new strategies, products, and services and seems to be in good shape for the future. At the Argos Inspiration Days 2018, Applications Development Senior Manager Mathew Faulkner gave a really great presentation about the amazing possibilities with print. Canon has developed an imaginary brand "The Elemental" which is a full design of a shop, products, signage, decor etc. to showcase the possibilities.

Marius Karlsen is a Concept Developer from the Norwegian company iNord. At the recent annual meeting for the members of the Federation of Printers in Norway, Marius Karlsen gave a great and very lively speech about the great tools offered by Google. Is Print Dead? A question asked these days by Pat McGrew from Keypoint Intelligence and Kevin Craine in their new podcast of the same name - however - Marius Karlsen said "You can use the platforms to sell the really sexy things - which is print" and when he handed over his business cards to the interested audience, this was letterpress printed business cards - all underscoring his statement. At the Argos Inspiration Days 2018, Luc Augustinus from Peleman Industries and Erik Keuppens from Imaging Solutions gave a great presentation about Lay-Flat binding. According to the two gentlemen, Lay-Flat binding is an opportunity to create better value on printed books - see for yourself.

Luc Augustinus is head of Business Development for Peleman Industries in Belgium and if that doesn't ring a bell for you, it may be because they are way more known for their Unibind products. At Argos Inspiration Days in Brussels, we got the chance to talk to Luc Augustinus about their latest invention - the Vpaper Tower. The Vpaper Tower is a machine that adds a double crease to a paper making it possible to use in Lay-flat bound products, like photo-books, textbooks and well - pretty much every application you can think of. At DRUPA in 2016, our friends from Enfocus in Belgium announced the X-Treme Switchover program and when INKISH.TV was asked to cover some of the programs we were SO excited about this. To recap briefly on the Switchover program the entire program aims to give an honest and openhearted view on the entire process from requirements, implementation, and results when getting a workflow implemented. How often do you meet a vendor that also show the obstacles, the worries, and the considerations whether this is worth investing in? Königsdruck in Berlin is a printing house that have invested in the AMS LED-UV solution on their relative new KBA Rapida-106. Königsdruck print fine art and have build a reputation around its amazing quality. Air Motion Systems who is the developer of the AMS LED-UV solution is using Königsdruck for the DRUPA brochures and we are quite certain that the print will give the visitors a great understanding of what is possible with LED-UV.
